Ihop23947 I used to have no problem. Now after restarting my backup because Carbonite in their infinite wisdom won’t let you delete anything in your backup even if it’s been gone for years - why do I need to keep seeing the names of files I used to backup???; my backup doesn’t backup.

Says can’t connect. Says searching for files.

Does nothing. I’ve left it on overnight with perfectly fine fast internet and nothing. I have tried restarting. I have tried everything in the knowledge articles. Best part is they don’t refund your money.

No prorating. So if you paid for a year and are only two months into a backup that won’t backup? I’m going to try another company or say screw it. I am over it! The entire idea is stupid anyway. It takes forever and a day to back up gigs and gigs unless you take time to send them a hard drive and do all that, but as I said I don’t like their system anyway - let me delete file names! This must be the reason everyone is recommending a different company now I won’t mention here.

Sjm240 I’m guessing Carbonite has abandoned this app. I made three phone calls to Carbonite to report the app was working only intermittently. Sometimes, I can access my files from my iPhone. Most of the time, I get an “updating” message and then it times out. The first tech had me uninstall and reinstall the app.

That wasn’t the solution, but I tried it another half dozen times or so. I made a second call to Carbonite and was told to email the mobile team. My email was acknowledged as received last week. I made a third call to Carbonite and got a supervisor on the phone. He said he’d ask the mobile team to escalate the issue and gave me an entirely different ticket number. Haven’t heard back from Carbonite. I’m guessing Carbonite has abandoned this app.
